In 1970, a wave of terrorism broke out in the Gaza Strip and many cases of grenades were thrown at Israeli vehicles. Moti Kirshenbaum's documentary

opens with a truck driver injured in one such event, and provides an in-depth study of the situation in Gaza and its relationship with Israel, against the background of terrorism.

Kirshenbaum's unique style, where reality is the fabric for the final "outfit" is already apparent. This is an uncommon documentary work, where striking close ups, stories told by interviewees and dry statistical data are all tied together by impressionistic editing and the superb narration of days past. Together, they create a cinematic, almost modernistic discussion, not only of "The Occupation", but of how it may be documented as well. A classic Israeli documentary you would not want to miss.

After screening, a discussion of Gaze today.
