Prof. Dan Geva, PhD (Head)

Prof. Dan Geva, PhD, has decades of experience as a distinguished documentarian and scholar. His award-winning films address social and philosophical themes, and his academic contributions have significantly shaped the study of documentary philosophy and ethics.

Meital Abukasis

Meital Abukasis leads the Film and Media School at Seminar Kibbutzim as a filmmaker and researcher. With an M.A. in Visual Anthropology from Freie Universität Berlin, she blends filmmaking and research, pursuing a Ph.D. in ethnographic cinema while creating multidisciplinary visual projects.

Germana Bianco

Germana Bianco holds an M.A. in Foreign Languages and Literatures specializing in Film and Media from La Sapienza University, Rome. Since 1998, she has programmed festivals focused on emerging directors. At Civica Scuola di Cinema, she manages international relations and student films.

Gal Gabay Dolphin

Gal Gabay Dolphin is a journalist, documentary filmmaker, and presenter focusing on social phenomena, laws, and institutions' effects on individuals and groups to inspire change. She is the recipient of the Sokolov Prize, the Primor Prize, and the Ometz Award for her work.

Tom Shoval

Tom Shoval is an acclaimed filmmaker known for his distinct storytelling style. His works include Youth (2013), Shake Your Cares Away (2021), Echo of Your Voice (2021), and Katya’s Hand (2023). He co-wrote the Oscar-nominated Aya (2015) and June Zero (2022).

Meital Zvieli (Hed)

Meital Zvieli is a documentary filmmaker. Among the notable works ​​she directed, produced, wrote the script and edited is the documentary film The Camera of Doctor Morris, winner of the Best Israeli Film Award at Docaviv International Documentary Film Festival 2022.

Assaf Lapid

Director, editor and lecturer. His film The Return from the Other Planet (81 min., Israel-Germany) had its world premiere at Filmfest Munich 2023 and its Israeli premiere at the Jerusalem Film Festival, where it won the Research Award. Since then, the film has been screened at various festivals in Israel and around the world and has won many awards.

Yaara Ozery

Researcher, lecturer and film curator. Member of the repertoire committee of the Haifa International Film Festival. Formerly was the Program Manager of Docaviv International Documentary Film Festival.

Meital Zvieli (Hed)

Anat Nattel

Anat is the Program Manager of Docaviv International Documentary Film Festival. Formerly she served as a content editor at Copro, the Israeli Content Marketing Foundation, and as a director of distribution for Lev Films and Cinemas.

Yuval Shani

Yuval Shani is film director and screenwriter. Born in Jerusalem, Yuval directed two award-winning short films, including participation in the official competition of the Cannes Film Festival and winning the first prize in San Sebastian. Youthful Grace, his debut feature, was released this year and won the best ensemble award at the 2024 Jerusalem Film Festival.
