Andrea finds out that her abusive husband is facing early release from prison. Despite his horrific acts, in her small town, people prefer to believe the husband and his respectable family, and to blame Andrea for putting him in jail under false pretext. Upon his return, Andrea and her daughter are overwhelmed by memories and fears. The mother wages war against Romania’s crooked justice system, and against her friends and neighbors who have added insult to injury.
