Yaser's Land

The village of Al Walaja is surrounded on all sides by a wall and a fence, and most of its land has been annexed and expropriated by Israel. Yasser Khalifa is the last farmer in the village to make a living from growing organic vegetables, olive trees and fruit. As more barriers, fences, and roads that he is forbidden to drive on, are built around him, and in a constant state of existential uncertainty, he continues to go out to the ancient terraces every day and cultivates his land using traditional methods.
