Stories from the Ukrainian war front, based on the increasingly escalating battles against the Russian invaders, are at the center of the festival this year, along with stories of the internal struggles within Russia itself. The new feature films and documentaries, which deal with the ongoing tragedy of the lives of women and men amidst the violent reality of war and occupation, familiarly resonate with life here, there, and all over the globe.
