Sanso was sentenced to life in prison for his membership in a gang that committed a shocking murder, but the sentence and Sanso's personality continued to trouble Reyes, and he renewed contact with him. The film focuses on investigating the circumstances of Sanso's life, with the aim of illuminating dark corners of the American dream. Since the prison administration did not allow Sanso to be interviewed in front of a camera or a recording device, most of the communication between the two was conducted in letters that Sanso sent to Reyes. The story we will discover through the letters and through a series of in-depth interviews with his family members will present the portrait of Sanso and the forces that shaped his life. ​

The events of that night have been covered and discussed in France repeatedly over the years that have passed since then: according to Spanton, she met a group of French policemen in a bar who brutally raped her, while the policemen for their part vehemently deny all accusations. The case soon reaches the media and goes through the courts. The film presents the complainant's version, the defendants' version, and the stormy investigation and trial. From article to article, from conviction to acquittal, the dramatic turns that characterized the rape case in that bar in Paris changed the attitude towards rape victims in France, while illustrating the ongoing struggle of the #metoo movement. ​

While fellow foreign and immigrant workers and families are being expulsed from his neighborhood, his class is chosen to participate in a unique cinematic project. They are asked to create a short drama film about a topic close to their hearts. The process of working on the film introduces us to the fears and dreams of Angelo and his classmates. They live in a temporary reality that undermines their sense of security. In the field of pop, ageism towards women is a universal issue. The film follows the attempts of the three members of the failed Icelandic band to fill concert halls, and to find their own formula for combining art, femininity and career. Two of the winners of the 200-meter race decided to raise their fists on the podium, in salute and tribute to black power. The consequences came shortly: Tommy Smith and John Carlos, the Olympic winners, were expelled from the United States team and suffered abuse, threats and humiliation upon their return to their country. The third athlete on the podium, the white Australian medalist Peter Norman, was also reprimanded by the authorities of his country for his support of Smith and Carlos. Director Matt Norman, Peter's nephew, dives deep into that Olympic moment and reveals for the first time the full story of that resounding historical event. ​

When Zohara recovers after a bitter struggle with scoliosis, she discovers that precisely because of her disease she was doomed to leave France. Ricardo, a 24-year-old student from the University of Siena, the main protagonist of the film by directors Matteo Delbò and Chiara Avesani, finds himself far from Europe: deep in the horrors unfolding in the Gaza Strip. Ricardo is the first student to arrive in Gaza as part of a student exchange program, and he soon discovers that this is not a carefree vacation. The young Italian dreams of becoming a surgeon in war zones, so for him, the journey to Gaza is a real mission.
