However, Shipton is also father to Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks and the world's most famous political prisoner. Assange is now awaiting extradition to the United States, where he faces up to 175 years in prison. As the controversial journalist's health deteriorates and time runs out, Shipton and the rest of the family fight for his release. The film combines historical archive footage with personal behind-the-scenes footage that together compose the story of an uncompromising family struggle and the heavy price paid by people who go against the system. ​

After Russia annexed the Crimean peninsula and invaded two districts in the east of the country, residents of one Ukrainian village near the border are subjected to incessant bombing. Irka, a woman in an advanced stage of pregnancy, is trapped in the shelling area alongside her husband Tulik. Although their home was damaged during the war, Irka refuses to evacuate, while Tulik refuses to join the pro-Russian separatist forces despite heavy pressure from his brother. The crash of a Malaysian plane near the village increases the tensions between the residents, and intensifies the conflicts between Irka and Tulik. The events of that night have been covered and discussed in France repeatedly over the years that have passed since then: according to Spanton, she met a group of French policemen in a bar who brutally raped her, while the policemen for their part vehemently deny all accusations. The case soon reaches the media and goes through the courts. The film presents the complainant's version, the defendants' version, and the stormy investigation and trial. From article to article, from conviction to acquittal, the dramatic turns that characterized the rape case in that bar in Paris changed the attitude towards rape victims in France, while illustrating the ongoing struggle of the #metoo movement. ​

As he gets entangled in his lies, he is afraid of losing his new forum friends and being exposed by his family. The situation undermines the delicate fabric of the family. Dark secrets are hidden behind the murder: a confidential source leaks the details of the investigation to the journalist's colleagues, who point to a complicated network of oligarchs, politicians, judges and government officials, all connected to the murder and to the complex ongoing legal case. The film follows the sequence of events following that brutal assassination, which triggered a social crisis and a warped political drama that haunts Slovakia to this day. ​

This film tells the story of a new generation of young Muslim Kashmiris who, after years of armed resistance, decided to lay down their arms and start a nonviolent resistance movement in the hope of finally achieving peace and independence. They strive for a renaissance of the Kashmiri tradition of religious and ethnic coexistence, inspired by Sufi culture and the spirit and history of Kashmir. In a rare look at the region, Udi Aloni filmed his protagonists as they launched their new struggle. Finally refused re-entry by the Indian government, Aloni was forced to tell the rest of this story far from the land and people he had come to admire creation, a feast for the senses which capable of restoring our faith in the human spirit. Ricardo, a 24-year-old student from the University of Siena, the main protagonist of the film by directors Matteo Delbò and Chiara Avesani, finds himself far from Europe: deep in the horrors unfolding in the Gaza Strip. Ricardo is the first student to arrive in Gaza as part of a student exchange program, and he soon discovers that this is not a carefree vacation. The young Italian dreams of becoming a surgeon in war zones, so for him, the journey to Gaza is a real mission.
